Herb Pennock played baseball with the Wenonah Military Academy team

At 17 or 18 he was signed by Connie Mack with the Philadelphia Athletics, who traded him away before he really learned the ropes. He went on to become a Hall of Fame pitcher, perhaps most well known for his five World Series wins when he was with the New York Yankees.
